Claims Team Leader

Recruit Ins are looking for a Claims Team Leader within the Real Estate team for a global adjusting company, this position is based in the office full time Cork, Ireland.

Reporting to the Real Estate Account manager, you will provide management support to desk-based adjusters ensuring the success of the Real Estate TPA team.

Claims Team Leader Job Role

• To lead and manage a team of 4 desk-based Claims Technicians to ensure they provide the highest standards of customer service to our clients
• Motivating the team to do their job efficiently and ensure targets and personal goals are achieved
• Management of team workflow to ensure all absences and holidays are covered
• Management of the holiday calendar /authorisations
• Monthly 1 to 1 meeting with the team, completing appraisals within required timescales
• Overseeing and monitoring the lifecycle of the desk-based teams claims
• Identifying training needs in the team and implementing any necessary training
• Account management support where required
• Ability to deal with complaint calls received in the team
• Manage a small caseload of claims
• Other ad hoc work as required.

Claims Team Leader Skills Required

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, being able to communicate in a clear, concise and structured manner
• Strong management skills
• Proven work experience as a team leader or supervisor
• Decision making skills
• Excellent stakeholder management with an ability to manage multiple priorities and conflicting demands
• Thrive in a high-pressured working environment
• Be driven to meet and exceed targets set for the Real Estate Team
• Good working knowledge of Word and Excel
• Travel may be required as and when so flexibility is a must.
• Must hold APA qualification and be working towards Certificate In Insurance Practice (CIP)
• Property claims experience essential, European claims handling experience preferred
